Frequently Asked Questions

Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.

We will keep this thread at the top as it is usually the most popular feature of FAQ.

  • Why can't siege weapons attack structures behind the fortifications?

We try and keep the mechanics of the game 'realistic'. If a wall is destroyed, only troops can make their way across the rubble to continue the attack.

  • Can we make up our own rules to suit our style of gameplay?

Of course. We encourage you to. Be aware that in tournaments, official rules will aply.

  • Do heroes count in a force?

No. You are allowed up to 2 troops (only 1 legendary though), and the hero merely assists. If the force they are assisting perishes, so does the hero.

The goal is to breach your opponent's defenses and destroy their castle keep.

The game is designed for 2 players, each controlling their own fortifications and army. However, testing with 4 players - 2 on each team - with 5 cards each, is also a lot of fun!

  1. Start Simple: Familiarize yourself with the basic cards first. Once you're comfortable, integrate the special cards into your strategy.
  2. Plan Ahead: Always be thinking a few turns ahead. Consider what cards you might draw and how they'll fit into your current strategy.
  3. Balance Offense and Defense: It's tempting to go all out on offense, but don't neglect your defenses. A well-timed defense can turn the tide of a game. Hint: Once your opponent plays a troop card, play 1 opposite. Don't let a force build up un-challenged.
  4. Use Your Special Cards Wisely: They can be game-changers, but it's all about timing. Think about the best situation to deploy them, and don't waste them early unless it's strategic.
  5. Learn from Your Opponent: Pay attention to their moves and strategies. This can give you insights into their hand and their future plays.
  6. Adaptability is Key: No matter how well you plan, sometimes the game won't go as expected. Being able to adjust your strategy on the fly is a valuable skill.
  7. Do not let your opponent build up forces without countering every move. Battle strategy is a knife's edge. As soon as one player has the advantage, it can spell disaster for their oponent. Of course, the dice roll and the flip of the cards has a lot to do with it too!
